Southern Maine Community College Dormitories (“SMCC”):
All on campus boarding will be handled directly by SMCC Conferences & Events and the American Music Campers will be given a significant discount. Dormitories are set-up as suites, each suite has four beds (2 in each room) that are connected by a joint bathroom. Each room has a mini-refrigerator, microwave and access to wireless internet. Pay laundry facilities and vending are available on every floor. Rooms will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis and SMCC will do their best to accommodate special needs or requests. Linens are not included unless reserved in advance.
Reservations: Reservations are for camp registered families only. Total reservation costs below do not include linens.
SMCC Dormitory Room Rates:
Single guest in a room, paired with matched gender on other side of suite or Two Guests in One Room (with same gender assigned suite mates, i.e., mom & daughter paired with another mom & daughter combo to complete a suite) – $225.00 for the week
Family of 3 or 4 using one suite – $525.00.00 for the week
One – two guests requesting an entire suite for themselves (1 person per room or requests no roommates to share suite) – $525.00 per week
Bed and Bath Linen are $40 per person for the week and are optional.

Deadline for Room Reservations: June 15th, 2018.
There is a 20% fee added to the cost of rooms booked after June 15th, 2018. Space is limited due to other camps taking place at SMCC.

There are many hotels ranging in price near the Southern Maine Community College (“SMCC”). SMCC is located at 2 Fort Road, South Portland, ME 04106.
Vehicles are not a necessity at the American Music Camp, Maine. The camp is located in the city of South Portland across the bridge from Downtown, which allows for various forms of local public transportation. The actual location of the Camp is at the Southern Maine Community College (“SMCC”), 2 Fort Rd. South Portland, ME 04106. One of the local bus routes (#21) passes by the SMCC campus and runs Downtown, passing many local eateries and attractions. There are also local land and water taxi services. The closest airport is the Portland International Jetport located in South Portland. Portland is also easily accessible by bus or train from Boston’s Logan International Airport.
Dining & Local Eateries:
When registering online campers can elect to participate in the lunch and/or dinner plan. Lunch and/or Dinner is offered Monday through Friday. Other options include the on campus Seawolves Café and local eateries within walking distance such as Scratch Bakery, Joe’s Boathouse and Elsemere BBQ. There are many other local restaurants but entail more than a 15-minute walk.
